Work with Me - Buyers

Home Buying

Process

Here’s what to expect when working with me

#1

Consult with and Hire

a Realtor

  • Your realtor will be your advocate and partner in your home search and will help you develop a home buying strategy. I would be honored to be your advocate and partner in this
    life-changing process!
#2

Mortgage Preapproval

  • A mortgage preapproval will allow you to focus your search on homes that meet your financial needs. And a preapproval is needed as it is submitted with an offer.
#3

Home Search

  • This is the fun part! We’ll look at homes and figure out where you want to be and what you want!
#4

Offer and Negotiation

  • Once you find a home, we’ll put in a competitive offer. I follow up with the list realtor and have your lender do the same. We will negotiate and then go under contract.
#5

First 10 Days Under Contract

  • This is a crucial time – you’ll do your inspection and have your initial attorney review in the first 5 days as well as complete your loan  application. The next five days includes negotiation between attorneys on contract and inspection items.
#6

On Your Way to Closing

  • Your lender will order the appraisal if they haven’t yet, you’ll be finalizing homeowners insurance and scheduling movers and utilities and getting ready for the big day! Closing usually occurs 30-60 days after the contract date.
